Established in 2003, Promise Hospital of Salt Lake is a 41-bed long-term acute care (LTAC) facility that operates as a hospital within a hospital (HIH) and is located on the 4th floor of LDS Hospital. We specialize in the medical management of patients with complex, unresolved, acute, chronic, or catastrophic illnesses, as well as multi-organ disease processes. We are Joint Commission accredited, certified by Medicare, and state licensed as a long-term acute care hospital.
When you need medical attention, there are various types of healthcare facilities along The Healthcare Continuum that provide different levels of care and treatment. The appropriateness of the treatment setting you and your doctors choose depends on the severity of your illness or injury and your personalized recovery plan and goals.
Our hospital staff works closely with you or your loved one’s referring physicians and case managers to discuss the individual treatment plan required. To effectively address you or your loved one’s needs on all levels our interdisciplinary team includes an attending physician, nurses, respiratory therapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, physical therapists, wound care specialists, pharmacist and a dietitian.
At Promise Hospital of Salt Lake, we are committed to delivering quality patient care in a compassionate setting. Within ‘The Promise Experience’, you will get an inside look at what makes Promise Hospital an excellent choice for you or your loved one.
Promise Hospital of Salt Lake is the only long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital in Utah located inside of another hospital. This advantage gives our patients access to more resources and support than other LTAC facilities.
